About The Sewergrooves

Swedish garage rockers the Sewergrooves grew out of a home recording project that begun in the winter of 1995 by Stockholm-based singer/guitarist Kurt Dräckes and bassist Andreas Broman. When the tapes made their way to Hellacopters drummer Robert Eriksson, he offered to join the group. In 1997 they issued their first official release, a limited-edition 7" EP on the newly-formed Low Impact label. A pair of singles, "Could've Been Dead" and "Two Time Loser," preceded the release of the Sewergrooves' 1999 full-length debut, Songs from the Sewer, reissued in the U.S. on Estrus Records along with a singles compilation, Three Time Losers. ~ Jason Ankeny
