“Keep Your Head Up,” is as uplifting as its title. Utilizing hip-hop production with a heavy accent on beats and rhythm, Grammer blends a soulful John Mayer style of singing with rap-rooted phrasing. If he weren’t inflecting with melody before the choruses of the flirty standout “Fine by Me,” those verses would be straight-up hip-hop.
