In Scheherazade.2, post-minimalist composer John Adams reimagines the Arabic tale of Scheherazade for a contemporary world. Violinist Leila Josefowicz “plays” the fearless heroine, who deftly and courageously blazes her way through waves of dissonance and confrontation. “A Long Desire” is a love scene for our age.
