Wonderfully unique, shape-shifting pop that takes the Irish singer/songwriter down her most daring avenues yet. Róisín Murphy’s fourth solo album is certainly challenging. It piles up rich melodies (“Mastermind”, “Nervous Sleep”) and doubles down on quixotic rhythms (“Thoughts Wasted”, “Romantic Comedy”), but once attached to Murphy’s off-kilter frequency, you’re hypnotised.
