We’ve loved Kip Moore’s sharp storytelling and moody country-rock since we first heard his 2012 debut, Up All Night. After scrapping an entire follow-up effort to start over in a new direction, the Georgia native wrote Wild Ones, a gorgeous set of fluid, atmospheric rock that’s as fit for arenas as it is dimly lit barrooms. While its title track bursts forth from a lake of simmering low-end and negative space, “I’m to Blame” is a playful anthem wrapped in crispy guitar and shimmering banjo.
