Choirs with Purpose

Choirs with Purpose is a national collaborative project involving choirs around the U.K. that inspires hope and faith through music in response to tragic events in 2016 and 2017. The project came to life in 2017 with 12 separate choirs from around the country coming together to record a crowd-funded charity album. Each choir chose to cover certain popular songs that encapsulate hope and diversity for Stand Together, released the same year. The album features performances from the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, Britain's Got Talent 2017’s finalists, the Missing People's choir, and Parrs Wood High School Harmony Group, and includes versions of Paul McCartney's "We All Stand Together" -- featuring 2003 Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus -- and Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," featuring violinist William Dutton. ~ Rob Wacey
