Serhat Durmus

Turkish producer Serhat Durmus blends 808-tinged trap beats with melancholy melodies and the traditional sounds of his home country to create a potent and alluring modern sound. • When he was about 12, Durmus was asked to fill in on drums for a friend’s band. The experience awakened his passion for music, and he soon learned to produce beats using software. • His 2017 single “La Câlin” features Ukrainian lyrics over a smoldering beat. The song became a runaway hit beyond Turkey’s borders, earning more than 200 million streams across platforms. • Durmus scored another hit with 2018’s “Hislerim”, featuring Turkish vocals by Zerrin. The brooding melodies and stuttering synth hook exploded around the world, earning the artist tens of millions of streams. • In 2021, Durmus released “My Feelings”, an English-language version of “Hislerim”, featuring British singer Georgia Ku.
