Yung Tory

Yung Tory is a vegan Rastafarian rapper known for his unique melodic flows. • The Toronto native spent part of his childhood in Atlanta. He’s of Jamaican and Grenadian descent. • He got his start rapping on his father’s karaoke machine. • Tory’s 2017 breakout single “Water” caught the attention of Chicago rapper Lil Durk, who signed him to his Only the Family label. • In 2018, Tory racked up millions of streams with his remix of masked DJ Marshmello and English singer Anne-Marie’s hit “Friends”. • The rapper dropped his debut album, Rastar, in 2019. Later that year, he signed with Def Jam and released the EP Still Here. • Tory admits his lyrical subject matter doesn’t always jibe with the Rasta teachings he grew up with. While he still identifies with the culture, he wants to be his own man.
