Death Cab's melancholic indie pop gets more nuanced the further down you look. Ben Gibbard's songwriting is most vivid in his darkest moments of heartbreak ("Company Calls Epilogue") and also in his electro-pop detours with The Postal Service, while the band have found wild inspiration in Chris Walla's stormy fuzz rock production ("Bixby Canyon Bridge") and with Yoko Ono (“Forgive Me My Love”).
