Lyn's debut in 2000—under her birth name, Lee Se-Jin—didn't make much of an impact, but the singer wasn't discouraged. Instead, she took a break to strengthen and develop her voice, and came back in 2002 with her new name and a richer, huskier tone. Lyn is now recognized as one of the top female vocalists in South Korea, thanks to a winning mix of soulful R&B tunes and heart-stirring ballads.
