Top 100 2024: Shazam Radio Chart: Electronic
All year long, Shazam’s music recognition technology tracked what songs were being played on radio stations around the world. (That’s nearly 1 million hours of music each day, broadcasting on more than 40,000 stations from Sacramento to Stockholm to Seoul.) Favourites from the 2010s, like David Guetta’s “Titanium” (feat. Sia) and Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s “Lean On” (feat. MØ), got plenty of love on electronic radio this year. It was a banner year for French producers: Ofenbach took the top spot among the most-played electronic songs, while Kavinsky’s “Nightcall” broke the record for most Shazams in a minute following his performance at the Summer Olympics closing ceremony. Hear what else the world listened to this year.
