Brooklyn-born producer Tony Visconti made his mark on pop with an array of British acts. He began applying his aesthetic and engineering talents to prog and folk acts like Gentle Giant in the '60s, but hit his stride with David Bowie at the end of the decade. Visconti worked on nearly all of '69 to-'80 output of the "Thin White Duke", as well as T. Rex and Thin Lizzy at the peak of their fame.
