After writing for and accompanying a host of other artists, subtly acrobatic Taiwanese singer Xiao Yu Sung made his solo debut in 2008 with Classmate Xiao Yu, That's Me, an album of soulful R&B sincerity. With a nerdy yet chic image and a natural velvet voice, the "Little Prince of R&B" wrote and produced increasingly strong collections of pop, rock, R&B and even (a little) rap, contributing to an era of mainstream Taiwanese pop that was almost radical in its unvarnished perfection.
