About Giggs

Pioneering UK rapper Giggs endured years of police interference and media censorship before finally scoring five Top 10 UK R&B hits and a powerful Drake cosign. • Before rap, Giggs was a local DJ who ran his own radio station, Spare No One FM. By 2005, he had begun making his own music. • In the years that followed, Giggs scored his earliest underground hits, such as the 2007 British rap classic “Talkin’ da Hardest”, a freestyle over Atlanta rapper Stat Quo’s “Here We Go”. • Giggs’ debut album, Walk in Da Park, arrived in 2008. Although radio and TV refused to play it, the album went Top 10 on the UK R&B charts and helped Giggs win a BET Award for Best UK Act. • His 2010 album Let ‘Em ’Ave It yielded two Top 20 UK R&B singles: “Look What the Cat Dragged In” and “Don’t Go There”, featuring B.o.B. • Giggs reached No. 2 on the UK pop albums chart with 2016’s Landlord, featuring the platinum single “Lock Doh”. • He appeared twice on Drake’s 2017 More Life album. Both songs—“No Long Talk” and “KMT”—went Top 20 in the UK. • His 2017 Wamp 2 Dem mixtape—a message to American hip-hop fans who don’t take UK rappers seriously—positioned him to win his first MOBO Award for Best Hip-Hop Act. • Featuring guests like Jadakiss, Lil Yachty and French Montana, 2019’s BIG BAD… became Giggs’ second straight album to crack the UK Top 10.
