Los Askis

One of the most popular groups in the Mexican music scene, Los Askis are unique in their blend of modern Cumbia and traditional Andean music. Similarly, the group performs in traditional Mayan garb and incorporates ritual dance elements into their shows. The group's EMI debut, ?Quien Te Robo el Corazon?, came out in 1999; Pasion y Cumbia appeared a year later, and Frente a Frente surfaced in fall 2000. ~ Heather Phares
