About Skip Marley
Born into the legendary reggae Marley family, Skip Marley modernized the genre, adding hip-hop, R&B, and rock to stand out as his own artist. ∙ The grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley, Skip made his onstage debut at age 15, performing alongside his famous musician uncles. ∙ In 2017, Marley was ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound artist chart. ∙ Credited as a composer and featured artist, he made the Billboard Hot 100 with Katy Perry’s double-Platinum hit “Chained to the Rhythm,” which they performed at 2017’s Grammy Awards. ∙ “Slow Down,” his 2019 collaboration with R&B star H.E.R., reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart in 2020—his first chart-topping single.
