Statik Selektah

Producer and DJ Statik Selektah—born Patrick Baril—has spent more than two decades crafting his own mixes while running point on dozens of cuts by some of East Coast hip-hop’s biggest names. ∙ Originally known as DJ Statik, he began spinning at clubs and on the radio when he was 13 years old. ∙ His 2011 breakout Population Control, which featured the Mac Miller collaboration “Groupie Love,” debuted just shy of the Top 10 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. ∙ After teaming up for 2011’s Well Done, rapper Action Bronson tapped him to help produce his major-label debut, Mr. Wonderful, which hit No. 7 on the Billboard 200. ∙ Not only does he host a long-running show on Eminem’s Shade 45 Sirius XM station, but he also appears as a DJ in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City.
