About Presuntos Implicados

Spanish alternative pop/rock trio Presuntos Implicados started getting involved in the local rock scene after winning a music contest with a song called En el Transistor. In 1984, the band signed with RCA. However, their original funky style on their debut album entitled Danzad Danzad Malditos failed to catch on. As a result, the newcomers teamed up with Nacho Maño to make a noticeable turn in their musical direction. Alma de Blues became their first certified double-platinum record. The successful Ser de Agua and El Pan y La Sal followed in 1992 and 1994, respectively. In 1999, WEA released Presuntos Implicados' ambitious and interesting Version Original, featuring covers of some of the most popular Latin hits ever. ~ Drago Bonacich
