In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I would probably say my earliest musical memory is having my violin teacher pronate my wrist on my bow hand. I remember thinking how strange it is to play an instrument if it means contorting your body in strange shapes. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aphex Twin, Selected Ambient Works 85-92 Buena Vista Social Club, Buena Vista Social Club Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Buena Vista Social Club reminds me of my heritage, specifically my Cuban father; Aphex Twin opened the door for me to experimental electronic music; And Kind of Blue, specifically the track Blue in Green, is my all time favorite musical work. Tell us why you chose this song. “Apu” I'm proud of how I was able to evoke the essence of the natural world in a piece that is essentially an ambient electronic influenced post classical work that only uses strings. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working on Rufus Wainwrights' "Sonnets" with Robert Wilson and the Berliner Ensemble at the Bertolt Brecht Theater in Berlin. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to write an opera. I better start soon...
