Lacrim

A French rapper of Algerian descent, Lacrim left a quick impression after appearing on tracks by several of his contemporaries. He released his debut album, Faites Entrer Lacrim, in 2012. One copy of the album included a winning ticket -- a voucher for 1500 Euro. Enhanced by appearances from Rim'K and Le Rat Luciano, Faites Entrer Lacrim peaked at number 16 on France's official SNEP album chart. By the end of the year, Lacrim released a mixtape, Toujours le Même. Second proper album Né Pour Mourir followed in 2013 and fared even better by reaching number 12 on the chart. ~ Andy Kellman
