Milwaukee-born Lakeyah is a rapper known for her explicit and energetic tracks. ∙ She began rapping at age 15, and in 2016 started posting her own takes on hit songs, going viral with her version of Monica’s “So Gone.” ∙ At 17, Lakeyah released her debut mixtape, The Keymix, which was quickly streamed over a million times. ∙ After signing a record deal in 2020, she released the albums Time’s Up and The Keymix II. ∙ The video for her 2020 single “Female Goat,” featuring hit rap duo City Girls, garnered more than 4.5 million views on a single platform in less than two months.
