About Solarstone
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In 1985 when I was 13, a family friend - who knew I loved music - sat me down with some headphones on my head and pressed play on Tears for Fears 'Songs from the Big Chair' - one of the first CDs and CD players ever available. It changed my life. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Electric Light Orchestra, Out of the Blue Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Welcome to the Pleasuredome Pet Shop Boys, Behaviour These three albums were highly influential on my teenage years and production style. Jeff Lynne & Trevor Horne are my two favourite producers, and the Pet Shop Boys my favourite band. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “4Ever” This song defines the Solarstone sound; poignant yet uplifting and featuring 'that' sound. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The completion of the 'One' project, the culmination of 4 years work on this Music vs. Art box set was a real moment for me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I never had a 'bucket list' - I only ever wanted to be a professional musician and build on what my father achieved in his lifetime.
