Peruzzi

Peruzzi is a Nigerian R&B/pop singer-songwriter known for his own work as well as his collaborations with Afropop stars. ∙ Born Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, he played piano as a child and then studied medicine after graduating from college, before deciding to pursue a music career in 2013. ∙ Released in 2017, Peruzzi’s single “For Your Pocket” caught the ear of prominent artist/producer Davido—who was featured on a new version of the song issued later that year. ∙ He was featured on Afropop giant 2Baba’s 2018 hit “Amaka” and also appeared in its popular video. ∙ The 2018 single “Aza”—by DMW featuring Davido, Duncan Mighty & Peruzzi—reached the Top 20 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. ∙ Peruzzi’s solo debut EP, 2018’s HeartWork, included the single “Majesty,” which rose into the Nigerian Top 40 and spent 24 weeks on the charts. ∙ The singles “Only One” and “Nana”—from his 2019 full-length debut, Huncho Vibez—was helmed by Grammy-nominated producer Benjamz (Burna Boy).
