Following breakthrough appearances opposite Natanael Cano on his Mi Nuevo Yo EP and the subsequent Corridos Tumbados, Vol. 2 compilation, Ivonne Galaz became one of the first female artists recognised amid this current crop of música mexicana upstarts. Her 2021 project Voy En Camino revealed depth and range from the Rancho Humilde signee, and this long-anticipated follow-up EP expands upon that further. “Después De Ti” with Estilo Sin Limite unabashedly celebrates getting through the worst of a lonely period, while the self-penned “Normal” quietly grapples with tremendous heartbreak through poetic grace. For the highlight “Ojitos Lindos”, she reunites with labelmate Tania Dominguez to sing their way through loss and longing.
