About All-4-One
The vocal group All-4-One topped the charts and won Grammy gold as part of a ’90s male R&B group revival. Nearly 30 years later, the quartet remains true to its name. • Alfred Nevarez, Tony Borowiak and Jamie Jones started out singing radio jingles in Antelope Valley, California. They added Delious Kennedy when a producer approached them to record a cover of the 1963 doo-wop hit “So Much In Love”. • All-4-One’s remake of “So Much In Love” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the group promptly recorded an entire album. • After their debut LP was finished, a label president suggested they add a cover of the country song “I Swear” by labelmate John Michael Montgomery. All-4-One’s rendition of “I Swear” eventually topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the group a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. • All-4-One’s self-titled 1994 debut achieved quadruple-platinum certification. • The foursome quickly followed up its successful debut with 1995’s platinum-selling And the Music Speaks, featuring the Top 5 hit “I Can Love You Like That”. • They’ve since released five albums—none of them major chart successes—and maintained their original lineup.
