About Flipp Dinero

Equipped with an indelible, raspy voice, Flipp Dinero has a knack for crafting infectious trap melodies. Born Christopher St. Victor in 1995, the Brooklyn-born rapper refined his singing abilities in a local choir as a youth; by age 15, Dinero began fully embracing hip-hop, intertwining his experiences and creating his signature mellifluous style. After lending his vocals to fellow up-and-coming MCs, Dinero was recruited by Joey Bada$$ to be a part of his label home, Cinematic Music Group, and later found his way to a joint deal with DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group. In 2017, the artist dropped his debut mixtape, The Guala Way, where he juxtaposed rich, euphonic lyrics against dark, bass-heavy production on songs like the club banger “I Do”. The following year, Dinero would release his breakthrough single, “Leave Me Alone”, a deceptively bright and vocally ambitious track about a deteriorating partnership that served as a springboard for his mainstream introduction. “‘Leave Me Alone’ is doing things I didn’t even imagine it doing,” Dinero told Apple Music. “Honestly, I’m still shocked. I’m just grateful I take my craft seriously.” That preparedness led to Dinero’s proper album, 2019’s LOVE FOR GUALA, which served as a home for the ominous, outstanding Lil Baby collaboration “How I Move”, about pocket watchers and would-be swag stealers. With the 2020 song “Rich Today”, Dinero focused on rapping more directly than his previous singles, showcasing his ability to set aside the harmonies and home in on the real when the time calls for it.
