About Los Temerarios
Romantic-pop group Los Temerarios has had huge, enduring success with their blend of American rock and traditional Mexican styles. ∙ As teens, brothers and band cofounders Adolfo and Gustavo Angel secretly practiced music at home in a rehearsal room their father rented to local groups. ∙ In 1983, they signed a record deal and released their debut album, Los 14 Grandes Éxitos de Los Temerarios, building a following with their live performances. ∙ Their breakout LP, 1992’s Mi Vida Eres Tú, featured the No. 4 Billboard Latin Songs title track and the hit “A Quién Quieres Engañar.” ∙ In 2000, the band won Best Grupero Album at the first Latin Grammy Awards, for their Platinum-selling LP En la Madrugada Se Fue. ∙ Los Temerarios’ 2004 hit “Qué de Raro Tiene” was the first ranchera track to reach the top of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. ∙ They received Lifetime Achievement honors at the 2005 Lo Nuestro Awards and the 2010 Latin Billboard Music Awards, and they were inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2016.
