About Naya Ali
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest childhood musical memory is definitely loving the music off of The Lion King. I would rewatch it dozens of times just for the fire soundtrack - so much so that it inspired me to write my first song at 8 years old. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly The journey through story telling as well as the distinct musical universe each of these albums contain are bar to none why I have to put them on my top three. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Air Ali” A lot of times we dream of taking flight but are held down by a few heavy baggages that ultimately need to be cleared. Air Ali is about letting go of these baggages; comfort zones, feelings, people to find growth and peace.
