The Buoys

Australian band the Buoys (pronounced like "Boys") play punchy, melodic alt-pop with an empowered feminist bent. The Sydney-based all-female group began building up their profile in the late 2010s with their raucous live shows and a string of well-received singles and EPs like 2020's All This Talking Gets Us Nowhere and 2021's Unsolicited Advice for Your DIY Disaster. After several years with the indie label Spunk, the Buoys jumped to a major label to make their 2024 debut album Lustre.
