Agar Agar: Influences

Delivering steely yet surreal electro pop, French pair Agar Agar draw their influences from a variety of sources, including the pounding industrial beats of SOPHIE and the experimental techno of Germany’s Mouse On Mars. Elsewhere, they play with the kind of warped synth lines and breakbeat drum machines favoured by artists like Cylob, and the drill 'n' bass rhythms of Squarepusher.
