After warming up with some well-received independent EPs, the Australian quartet Tora released their full-length debut, Take a Rest. It's sophisticated dance pop in the James Blake mold, filled with snapping beats and sine-wave keyboard ripples. As demonstrated by the opener, "Rudie", Tora make deeply layered music to get lost in, but they always keep things moving. "Another Case" is fleet-footed dance pop, while "Too Far" is underpinned by a gurgling, rolling bed of bass.
