The tracks that premier netball player Karla Pretorius has chosen to put on her exclusive Apple Music playlist reflect a myriad of positive emotions, from TRESOR and Beatenberg’s pop-rooted “Zambezi” to Francois van Coke and Spoegwolf’s rock anthem “Dagdrome in Suburbia”. “When I listen to music I get the feeling of joy, relaxation, dreaminess, feeling pumped, amusement and nostalgia,” she tells Apple Music. “There’s nothing like a good upbeat song to pump you up for a match or a song to bring back memories. Listening to music is part of my pre-match ritual and I see it as part of my game preparation to get me focused and pumped up.”
