About Ella Henderson
Fresh off her appearance on The X Factor, British pop and R&B singer-songwriter Ella Henderson scored a No. 1 UK hit with her 2014 debut single, “Ghost”. • Henderson began singing at age three and later taught herself to play piano. • In 2012, she performed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” on the British reality series Come Dine With Me. • That same year, she finished in sixth place on The X Factor. In early 2013, she signed with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music label. • Her 2014 debut single, “Ghost”, reached No. 1 on the UK charts and narrowly missed the Top 20 in the US. • Henderson’s 2014 debut album, Chapter One, reached No. 1 in the UK and spawned two more Top 20 hits: “Glow” and “Yours”. • She returned to the UK Top 10 by guesting on the drum ’n’ bass duo Sigma’s 2015 hit “Glitterball” and collaborating with DJ and producer Jax Jones on 2019’s “This Is Real”. • In 2017, she took part in Artists for Grenfell and sang on a charity version of the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. The single—a fundraiser for victims of the Grenfell Tower fire—reached No. 1 in the UK. • After parting company with Syco, she returned in 2019 with the EP Glorious.
