The triumphant artwork suggests Robbie’s at his most cocksure on his eclectic fourth album. There’s certainly irresistible swagger to “Kids”–a salacious dance-rock duet with Kylie Minogue–and the post-punk-meets-house thump of “Rock DJ”. However, this is also another Robbie album that benefits from introspection. He’s a tender country troubadour on lover’s apology “If It’s Hurting You” and bruised-but-spirited on John Lennon-inspired ballad “Better Man” and “Supreme”’s disco-rock.
