Kate & Anna McGarrigle

Active from the 1970s into the 21st century, Kate & Anna McGarrigle blended their voices in the magical ways that only siblings could, and the Canadian sisters were both powerfully affecting songwriters as well. While their music was nominally in the folk-rock vein, their arrangements drew from diverse sources and featured a bracing sense of place, community, and family.
