Changing a band’s name is one thing, but changing that of a zeitgeist-defining act is another. So the stakes were high when the band formerly known as peterpan rebranded as Noah in 2012 following a lineup change. But judging by the instant success of debut single “Separuh Aku” the band’s fanbase was unfazed, welcoming the fact that all the ingredients that made peterpan a household name remained intact: catchy, roof-raising choruses, melodic rock instrumentation and, of course, Ariel’s unmistakable mellow tenor. Peterpan’s legacy is in safe hands.
