About Yuna
Singer Yuna is probably Malaysia’s most famous musical export, having landed songs in American movies and TV and worked with collaborators including Usher and Pharrell Williams. • Yuna initially found an audience by uploading her music to social networking sites. She released her first Malaysian album, Decorate, in 2010. • She got some writing and production help from Pharrell Williams on her self-titled 2012 international debut album. • Her US breakthrough came in 2016 on the single “Crush”, featuring Usher. The song, from her third international album, Chapters, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Adult R&B chart, while the album made its way to No. 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. • She covered The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun" for Oliver Stone’s 2012 thriller Savages. Her music has also appeared in the superhero series Arrow, the teen drama Pretty Little Liar and, in collaboration with Owl City singer Adam Young, the animated film The Croods.
