About Jorge Roeder
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember very early (around 3 or 4 years old) the playful singing of Elis Regina and A.C. Jobim at the end of "Aguas de Março", as such a human element of music, the kind that made me connect with the song even if I didn't know anything about it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Antônio Carlos Jobim, Passarim John Coltrane, A Love Supreme Kurt Masur, Orchestre philharmonic de radio France, Sarah Nemtanu, Shostakovitch: Symphony No. 7 I always establish a connection with the music I play - and I tend to form a bias towards it. These are albums that, at different stages of my musical life, have clicked with me without me having to play a note of these pieces. Purely by listening. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “El Suelo Mío” I owe so much to Peru, my home country. Specifically to its music. More specifically to Chabuca Granda. And I don't know how I came up with this very unusual homage to her. It still stirs me when I listen to it. Especially to the things I borrowed.
