About Jacknife Lee
A Grammy Award-wining Irish producer, musician, and mixer with a wide-ranging style, Garret "Jacknife" Lee has worked with a murderers' row of hitmaking artists, including U2, Snow Patrol, the Cars, Weezer, R.E.M., the Killers, Tears for Fears, Taylor Swift, and One Direction. He released his big beat-leaning solo debut, My Rico!, in 1999 and continued to explore the genre on subsequent efforts Punk Rock High Roller (under the pseudonym Jack Planck) and 2007's eponymous Jacknife Lee. In 2009, he joined Snow Patrol, Belle and Sebastian, and R.E.M. members in the country-influenced supergroup Tired Pony. A pair of acclaimed collaborative efforts, Bamanan with Malian singer Rokia Koné and the percussion-heavy Los Angeles with Lol Tolhurst (the Cure) and Budgie (Siouxsie and the Banshees), appeared in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
