Ingo Pohlmann, a German singer/songwriter, was born in 1972 in Rheda Wiedenbrueck. His debut album was a chart success, as was his follow-up, Fliegende Fische (or Flying Fish, in English), released in 2007, which was a Top 40 seller. His own description of his musical style, that of "Root-Pop," was influenced by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper, and Tom Waits. ~ Chris True
