The hits collected here are taken from the band's second coming, spanning 1987 through 1994. Tracks like "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" and "Love In an Elevator" were pop-inflected, self-aware songs that rock radio ate up—and they were perfectly polished for MTV's vision of hard rock. "What It Takes", "Cryin'" and "Crazy" were boozy, bluesy ballads for lovebirds, and "Livin’ On the Edge" found one of America's most debauched bands almost adopting a social conscience.
