About The Saturdays
British-Irish pop quintet The Saturdays formed amid a girl-group revival in 2007 and racked up 13 Top 10 hits before going on hiatus in 2015. • The five members of The Saturdays were brought together via auditions for a new girl group by Polydor Records. All of the chosen members had experience in the business, and Frankie Sanford and Rochelle Wiseman had performed together in the pop group S Club Juniors. • The group’s 2008 debut single, “If This Is Love”, reached No. 8 in the UK. • Their debut album, Chasing Lights, also arrived in 2008. Yielding four Top 10 singles, including a cover of Depeche Mode’s “Just Can’t Get Enough”, the album was certified double platinum in the UK. • The Saturdays notched their first (and to date only) No. 1 UK hit with 2012’s “What About Us”, featuring Jamaican superstar Sean Paul. The song appears on their fourth album, 2013’s Living for the Weekend. • In 2013, the group starred on the E! reality series Chasing the Saturdays, which centers on their attempts to break through in America. • After embarking on the Greatest Hits Live! Tour in 2014 and releasing an accompanying compilation album, The Saturdays went on hiatus.
