Punk legend Bob Mould began exploring the sounds of dance music in the late ‘90s, and Body of Song finds him fusing that sensibility with his guitar-god roots. "I Am Vision, I Am Sound" mixes his signature noise-pop overdrive with synthetic keyboard swells and insistent beats that feel as at home on the dancefloor as they do in the punk club. Meanwhile, the power ballad "Always Tomorrow" reveals that Mould’s squealing feedback hits even harder when it's balanced with a soothing electronic counterpoint.
