The reflective romantic of Rings keeps finding new ways to turn his musings into extroverted, upbeat tunes that flesh out into grand arrangements. "Here Now" is the obvious opener, a tune that grabs listeners with just a few hummable bars. "Gallon Jug" balances between a measured gait and an arrangement that keeps things surprising with each verse's twist. "Wondering" adds a distinct reggae groove and a spooky organ riff. "Bermuda Nothin'" furthers the intrigue with a bouncy groove that floats down the street and onto the beach. "Tell Me Again" sports a psychedelic drone and hand percussion for what feels like a dream sequence. "Black Gold" evokes a summer feeling with another distinct reggae/Caribbean rhythm folding into a sweet, cathartic chorus. Bones obscures his voice behind the reverb, making it just another melodic instrument in the mix.
