More than 40 years after her death, Maria Callas took to the stage as part of the Hologram Tour in 2018. Existing recordings of some of the arias for which she’s best-known were accompanied by a live orchestra and La Divina in holographic form. Here are the original performances, complete with stylish accompaniments under the likes of de Sabata, Giulini, Serafin, and Prêtre. As Carmen, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Turandot, and many others, Callas inhabits each role, exploring every little emotional twist and turn. Pathos, anger, passion: She could express everything, which made her one of the greatest singing actresses of all-time.
