The title of BridgeCity’s sophomore album says it all—this song collection sings the Savior’s praises in bold tones. The Christian septet (affiliated with City Bible Church in Portland, Ore.) achieves an admirable musical diversity thanks to a strong vocalist lineup and creative band arrangements. The rousing acoustic folk of “God You Are Good” and the heroic rock balladry of “Awaken Hearts” are balanced by the gentler reflections of “How We Need You Father” and “Oh the Blood.” Of special note are Christ Be Glorified's creative reworkings of “Nothing but the Blood” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”
