With each release, Colombian sensations Piso 21 move further and further beyond their boy-band roots without losing their keen pop appeal. With El Amor En Los Tiempos Del Perreo, their third album, reggaetón provides a vital and thumping sonic core for the quartet to center themselves around, evidenced by singles like “Una Vida Para Recordar” with Myke Towers and the tropical delights of “Tan Bonita.” Thematically, their lyrics dip between heartfelt romance and carnal delights, blurring the space between as needed. Along the way, they’re joined by a somewhat eclectic set of collaborators, including regional Mexican star Christian Nodal on the hybrid “Pa' Olvidarme De Ella” and comeback kids the Black Eyed Peas on the bilingual jam “Mami.”
