When the world locked down as the global pandemic set in, Matt Masters—like so many artists back then—set up at home to ensure that the music never stopped, even if everything else had. The result was his Saveloy Factory Sessions series, which saw Masters broadcast DJ sets live on social media to bring a dose of normality and escapism to us all. This From the Vaults mix takes us straight back to that time. “These sets were recorded in different rooms of my flat in East London—it’s an old saveloy factory, hence the name,” the DJ and producer tells Apple Music. “The one here was recorded back in July 2020. I think my decks were set up in my kitchen at the time. I hope you enjoy the mix.”
