Mac Dre was working on this album at the time of his death, and a deep roster of guest spots flesh out the unfinished product. “Do My Thang” has Mac trading heavyweight verses with frequent collaborator Mac Mall and protégé Johnny Cash; “What a Hit We Made” spouts tough wisdom over an eerie sample from Henry Mancini’s score of “Charade.” And while Mac is rarely alone on this album, when he is—like on “When I Step Up In Here”—he is back to his old swaggering, boastful tricks.
