The debut album by the Oklahoma-based Chaotic Resemblance invokes such ‘80s glam-metal icons as Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Faster Pussycat. What makes the band’s high-strutting, note-shredding music distinctive is its Christian lyrical focus—tracks like “Son of Man,” “Sin,” and “The Cost” offer spiritual substance along with plenty of instrumental flash and vocal swagger. The acoustic ballad “Star” helps balance such full-tilt rockers as “Candy Land” and “Greatest Show Alive.” Produced by Oz Fox (Stryper), Get the Hell Out packs a potent wallop while driving home higher truths amid the blistering guitar riffs and pummeling drumwork.
